Murchison
Set near the large Buller River Murchison offers us a short break during our journey.
Some good shops, and an information centre to tell us the stories of the coal mining in the area. There are displays of some of the ingenious machinery used for the mines.Earthquakes
As with other places there are many earthquakes here. This town suffered from two massive (fatal) earthquakes because of its close proximity to the active tectonic fault-line. There will be more.See also:
