We find both native exotic forests planted for timber. 

Because of the fertile soils if the North Island most of the native forests have long been removed and replaced by farms. 

However, there are still a lot of native forests to be enjoyed.  With some extra time, we can explore a National Park to gain insights into the unique wonders of New Zealand's native dinosaur rainforests.
