One of the world's great train trips takes us between the high desert lands and the historic Dunedin city railway station.

The historic carriages are heated and refreshments are available in the buffet car. 

Outside viewing areas add to the joy of the experience.

We pass through several tunnels and some high viaducts

Land features include the rich fertile Taieri farm plains the spectacular  Taieri River Gorge. (not accessible by cars) and the high desert land with their spectacular tor formations and snow covered mountains in the  background.

Stops are made en route from Dunedin to enjoy the best of the sights. 

The friendly, fun loving crew provide commentaries and answer questions about the train and the area.
