Weather 

This zone has a high rainfall as the alps extract moisture from the prevailing westerly winds.   Temperatures are more even than other zones and experience a higher humidity. This results in precarious wetland vegetation and special farming practices.

Studies We look at how orographic processes create high rainfall in this Zone. Our KANES guide show us the evidence of the high rain fall with many flood prone rivers and enlarged drainage systems. We see special grasses and excess water release systems for the farms. We can explore the many different ways this land and its settlements have adapted to welcome around 4 metres of rain annually.
