Eight power stations and 4 canals combine with nature to generate New Zealand's power.

Studies
Interested groups visit at least 2 of the 8 power stations and dams. We become familiar with the stats  and learn how the forces are created, applied and controlled. 

An information centre shows us how the dams and cannels work together with the main power transmission lines to deliver their energy to the country. 

We consider the environmental impact of the new large lakes and the management of the available water as demand from food produces grows.

We explore the material that has been used to make one of the dams and look how it was collected processed and put in place.
