Often we can actually see the towering alps catching the moisture from the prevailing Roaring Forties winds and we feel  the strong dry warm flows that blow the dust and lingering moisture across the tundra below. 

 In the winter, we can experience snow and the amazing frozen fogs that occur here regularly.
