Geothermal Power Plant
 
A visit to the geothermal bores enables us to understand the creation extraction, treatment and transportation of superheated steam for use at a large nearby power station.   

Much of the science and engineering of this power sauce came from new ideas and skills developed by local scientists and engineers.


Action Education
 We take a tour through the steam extraction field for close up encounters with the water extractors and the pipes that convey the hot pressured steam to the power station.
