This visit gives us an experience of the proportions of the city and its harbour.

The 50+ year old bridge (1957) is a marvel of local engineering a city icon and is backed by a significant industry maintaining it in good condition.

Length 1.02 km.  Driving across this bridge we see the harbour, marinas and more volcanoes which make up part of Auckland city.

During free time, adventure seekers can take a walk over the upper arch span.

Engineering students will enjoy exploring the structure and design of the steel that holds the structure.
