6am Alarm off - Rush, Rush sort gear - finish pics -

7.20 -walk to covid test centre - queue 40 min (with other cruisers all leaving tomorrow) - Grumpy!!  - Test - grabbed a bite - rush back - wait for the 10 am email -

9-30 Email results arrived - emailed it to hotel they printed it - "not much time" staff commented - thanks - more stress -  1 hour to spare to do some pics - great   - Oops heap of back-up files gone! (Lucky to have most of them them on a USB stick)  -

10-30  Left for terminal  -  Temp low 20s  - nice for a wander without pressure.

11 am arrive - more and more terists walking their bags into an ever tightening crowd of queues -  Bags check-in queue  "we deliver to the room straight away" - (yeah right arrived 3hrs later) - Queue again - backwards forwards check this stamp that.

Go to next queue - same again then to the next - same again - more stamps, checks photos and finger prints passport checks.  (Wow! at last someone needed to see my $500 2 NI trip stress filled Visa because I visited Iran)  -  queue more then and wait with thousands.

2 pm "Go"   Yeh  more queues then more checks and on board.   Now to find the room - Number blah blah  -  It's locked - got in - Nice -  But first "you must watch the tv safety video then you must go the your muster station" (down 6 levels) and 5km rush through the bowls again queue -   tick   -  back to room -.  aah now  enjoy  -  ah yes "lunch for you"

Lunch mask on - queue - ("don't take too much son") find a spare - table - mask off - eat - mask on  - back 4 km to room  the whole deck is for food and fitness

2-30 pm Buggar wifi wont connect - "go 5 decks down and 10km  they will do it for you".  Queues and crowds - experts tried and failed "this password - "that email address - no maybe the other one - no maybe too many trying to use the site - come back later".

5 pm boat due to leave 30 min ago  "some still to turn on their tv for safey video.

Summary  setting up was efficient and punters friendly & ready for a friendly good humored grumble.  Queues usually were quite fast moving.  Certainly plenty of exercise but nothing seen so far on day 1.  So glad I can just watch the world go by from the balcony.  Sunny & warm evening.

People are all friendly - staff everywhere and all willing to help - AND lots of people having IT hassles. That helps make things feel better
