Wow!  so different leaving the boat.  No queues, no crowds, no tests, not even passports checked.   Just walked through the customs halls into Canada -all on IT -  REALLY SCARY.    Taxies lined up and off to the hotel to drop the bags and explore.

AND staff said there was no covid found on the ship - all week.

Walked a bit then hired a bike for an 80 min ride around Stanley Park shoreline.  Very pleasant but crowded.  

With about NZ$16 spent walked 50 min back to the hotel - stuffed;  only then to be hassled (again) trying to get the papers for tomorrow's return to see the rest of Alaska that was to have been included in the original BC cruise  (thanks to the operator's or the agent 's slack work at the start of planning -  and causing huge extra costs).  Grrrrrr!!
