Four Golden Stans June 2023 08 Thu (18) Registan Square, museum and markets - Samarkand - Uzbekistan Temps to have headed to 39 deg. Dry air and a breeze helped. Visited beautifully and lovingly restored (starting 1930's) ancient mosque and mausoleum for an honored worrier, Amir Tamur, who invaded, slaughtered and conquered surrounding civilizations around 1300s after which hese buildings were constructed. Today they attract tourists to provide income. Afternoon rested in the cool hotel and checked inside eyelids.
