By mid day the temp was fast approaching the 39deg and exploring the wonderful sights inside the old 2500 yr old Silk Road trading city became a challenge.  Note Today, this UNESCO World Heritage area is recently restored and under continual maintenance. Rainfall of just 20mm yearly enables the use of mud and straw for a lot of the constructions despite freezing winters.
