India Email Itinerary Previous Day Next Day 21 Sat (Day 3) City of Agra & Taj Mahal - to Fatehpur Sikri, 5am start and no breakfast "Following breakfast we depart for the City of Agra on our inter city train connection. On arrival at 9 am had breakfast than to "The famous Taj Mahal is our first stop, commissioned by Shah Mahan in 1631, to be built in memory of his wife. Construction began in 1632 and was completed in 1648". Inside pics A visit to Fatehpur Sikri, a small city just west of Agra founded by a 16th century Mutual Emperor is next on our itinerary. (Cancelled due to lack of interest) Then after a rest and uploading the pics of the taj took a walk around the area then happy hour socialising by the hotel pool. Pics fail to include the intense blasting of horns from every vehicle on the road and the variety of odours from all sources.
