21 Fri   Explore Kanazawa
Take the limited express train to Kanazawa and upon arrival, meander your way through Kenrokuen, one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan. Also visit the Nomura Samurai House and Kunani Pottery Factory.

Another rainy start for the walk to the railway station.

Pleasant 1 hr - 1min (exact) train ride through the countryside and towns and cities all on the flat river plains

Changed trains in 15 mins then another hour  (and 2 min) to Kanazawa

Arrived Kanazawa take photo then on the cool air-conditioned bus to the famous world heritage Kenrokeun gardens

Just an ordinary pine planted on a man made mound.  then after many years the gardeners slowly removed the soil to expose the roots

Stainless water sprayers on the roads and foot paths to remove snow

A traditional original Samurai house is next on the agenda
 
 

On the bus to the family pottery place

Demo with the current governor as a school boy  a quick stop at a gold leaf tourist "shop" demo then dinner. 
Hot and exhausting day to a relaxing bath to freshen up for the 15min walk to a flash French restaurant and a beer
