10 Tue about 300k to Augathella

Delightful outback towns that dragged me to stop and fill in some time exploring. Blackall, Tambo and Augathella. All proudly told their stories of past greatness, all now they are quiet except for the tourists - in the season. Need to do around 400k/day to get the van back at a comfortable pace.

Hot spring gushes at 58deg Ideal for scouring wool

Even the water here constantly flushes hot

Old wool scour restored by the local enthusiasts is driven by the original steam engine.
Now they charge $17 for a guided tour to see it working.
