Calm start and a choppy return. Bussed for 35 min to a private trust reserve on the southern west point.  The hospitable owner explained the story of his land then we left  for a 3 hour walk through the regenerating flora of the reserve gully. P.M. some free tine in the "city" of Waitangi followed by bird watching as we sailed towards the Forty Fours Island group.
