Night market had no cars
or bikes - no tooting so quiet Full moon through the haze looked
nice - cant see stars. Very little rubbish in the streets - no
beggars, no flies - motor vehicles generally have quiet motors and
are clean burning - the constant tooting is a necessary evil that
the riders/drivers seem to relish - electric push bikes and scooters
are common. Had an taste of food I will never try again with
an American guy I met over a drink - He spotted the food &
agreed we both had to try it - just once - was very expensive ($4
each) sharing one small serving. Good laugh . Evening - met the tour
- 4 other
Sydney folk who have been on the road for a week so far. and the guide Joe taxied us to dinner
costing about me $30 with a wine. mmm! - when $7 has been
just fine on "the street" restaurant - with a beer. We shall see .
Its 40 years since the war victory over America - hence the
colourful signs - there was a great celebration last week.
