Settlers established educational faculties wherever families lived. Universities were placed in the capital settlements.

Today New Zealand has 7 universities, in addition to teacher training and other skills training institutions.

Most institutions are all largely financed by the government with some institutions requiring contributions from their students.

Interested groups can visit the institutions that are of most interest to them and take the opportunities made to meet the students and staff.

Exchange activities can be arranged with educational institutions.
