Earthquake 2011

KANES take us around the city's most interesting and special places to gain an overview and to explore the vast changes this city has endures after the 2011 earthquake.

Declared one of the world's 10 best cities in 2003 and in 2012 one if the world's 10 must visit cities.

Christchurch proudly reflects the English Culture of its first settlers. It has been successfully developing tourism with its attractions (shopping, gardens, parks, architecture, trams, and restaurants). Population 400,000.

Studies
We can learn about human settlements and culture relating to our home and other world destinations.  History and engineering groups especially enjoy experiencing the amazing historic buildings from the first settlement days of the 1850s-1920s. Parks, river fronts, shops and houses demonstrate the character, interests and culture of the people.

We see buildings of interest (great for science, history, art and engineering students). We delve into the historic and current difficulties, attitudes, and threats to the city. This all helps us understand how communities face their difficulties.
