The Kea is a unique alpine parrot.  

It is one of the 33 endangered species birds of New Zealand birds and is scientifically tested to be the most intelligent non-human animal living today

These beautiful and inquisitive birds frequently befriend visitors in their quest for morsels. 

Scientific tests prove the kea to be the world's most intelligent animal (after humans) and offers an entertaining display when it thinks food may be available.
