Coal Mining Settlements

From 1900s through to the 1960s Coal mining was a major industry with with proud thriving communities.

Today we find their settlements sadly in various states of decline. Some are even ghost towns, consumed by suffocating rainforests.

Surviving settlements have declining economic value. Some accommodate people seeking a low-cost life style.

Action Education
By exploring these settlements we can see the past come to life we  feel the bad luck and hopelessness of an uncomfortable situation we may even look for escape opportunities and see how these worked out for the locals.

We see the importance of choosing a stable career path and to be adaptable. We learn of the importance of property maintenance programs needed for our homes.  We can explore ideas on the future of coal as a commodity
