A genuine old steam engines are rare and lovingly maintained and operated by keen enthusiasts.  At shantytown we enter the steam driven train, seeing, hearing, smelling and feeling the energy was the hi-tech of the day and served our great grandparents' generation for decades driving factories, timber mills, farm equipment, ships, trains, trucks and more.
Shantytown	Action Education Close up inspections and presentation by the driver can be arranged for science, and chemistry students. The engineers explain the processes and sciences involved in operating this nostalgic technology.
