"Address for service"

Important legal documents and information sent to this address are deemed to have been delivered.  This can be a postal address or an email address

●  Tribunals and courts require current "addresses for service"
    for notifications and enforcements.

●  "Addresses for Service" should be specified in rental
     agreements .

●   If not otherwise specified, the "Address for Service"
becomes the actual address of the property occupied or an
email address that has been used used to communicate with
     the creditor.

WHEN renters with debts leave rental properties
●  The property as an  "address for service" stops after two
     months.

This only allows time for a tribunal application to be lodged and the
     debtor notified of the application.

●  Much later when "Judgement Orders" are issued, debtors'

new "addresses for service" are needed to proceed.

●  IF the debtor's new "addresses for service" is not available

by other means, creditors can
apply here to MBIE  OR  to

the
courts for "contact information".  Applications must include the
     tribunal's "judgement orders"
Although results are always confidential,
     enforcements can proceed.
