Sunday, May 31 PRAGUE Today's guided tour commences with the impressive Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral (no entry included, closed on Sundays and religious holidays) which dominates the pretty city skyline. Believed to date back to the 9th century, the castle complex, with its fascinating network of palaces and churches, is considered to be the largest in the world. You will wander to Charles Bridge and cross this Czech landmark, which straddles the beautiful Vltava River. Finally, arrive in Prague's Old Town Square, which has been a witness to many historical events. Marvel at the architecture of the striking buildings that fill the square, such as the Old Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock and the gothic Church of the Mother of God before Tưn. You’ll have the afternoon at leisure to explore this beautiful old city further. OPTION – Folklore Dinner and Show This evening, you may like to experience a lively traditional Czech folklore dinner and show (at additional expense). Meals included: Breakfast Grandior Hotel Prague - NZ$160 (Nope) Started with an early walk to a hilltop memorial, then a bus to the high point I walked yesterday after a good breakfast. Group seem to be all Ausies and a big portion are ex Kiwis. Punters all have a remote ear piece for listening to the guide's commentaries. It worked magnificently in the crowds.
