Sunday, June 7 KRAKOW Today explore Krakow at your own leisure. Alternatively, you may wish to join an optional tour to the Wieliczka Salt Mine (at additional cost). ENHANCE YOUR JOURNEY – Wieliczka Salt Mine From 13th century to 1996, the Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the world’s oldest salt mines, producing sodium chloride, or as we know it, table salt. Reaching up to 327 metres deep, and extending for 287 kilometres, marvel on your guided tour at the chambers, grottoes, chapels and statues carved out of rock by the miners.  Morning walk to the river then a courier too a few of us to the salt mine-  Walked down about 5,000 steps then to 135 m deep then saw the features and statues.  Returned beggared having reached almost 20,000 steps,  Everything is around twice NZ prices even ice-cream and shakes.
