Geology Studies

Seven million years of volcano activity produced
materials and land shapes layered by andesitic, basaltic and ryolite deposits intermingled with dusts from distant glacier activities.

Quarries, earthquake breakages and oceanic wave erosion reveal to us these treasures from many different eruptions

We experience deposits of ignimbrites, basalts, conglomerates, bombs and ash of various types.

We learn about their origins and can learn to categorise, test and document different samples.

Around the volcanic features we find sedimentary material taken from the mountains via rivers and wind being deposited on the beaches as fine sans and gravels.

Your KANES guide will explain some factors and processes that influence the different types of rocks we see here.
