Friday 11 At Sea all day.

0830 Breakfast with Terry, Canadian retired GP who spends months travelling the world to and from Australia to visit his family there.

Ocean calm but not getting sea legs as I should. Maybe the cheaper motion pills are not working as expected.

1030 Great photography lecture mainly on framing and planning from a very experienced, professional free lance photographer with.

1230 Lunch with Julie from Oregon, Robert and Alice from Malaysian Borneo. No name tags provided so have to keep asking - quite embarrassing with so many to learn.

1330 -1530 mandatory bio lecture and clothing / equipment inspection ready for tomorrow's Macquarie Island visit and them some computer time in the "library"/ (nice) quiet lounge with forward views.

Sat 12 Two visits to Macquarie Island

0600 Weather: wet rougher and much cooler. Early rise - few minutes puff in the Gym then brisk round the ship circuit - breakfast - sort gear for the day out -1015 zodiac departure for the first stop beside the Australian science station.
