This trail includes New Zealand's best world renown scenery geography, earthquake devastated Christchurch, unusual settlements, towering alps, volcanoes fascinating tectonics, spectacular glaciers,  icebergs, lakes, rivers, coasts, harbours, walks, erosion, largest  hydro power stations, most varied weather, vast rain forests, dry rugged desert lands, tundra plains.

English Culture Zone		 Day 1  Arrive Christchurch
We are welcomed by our New Zealand guide and use available time to explore the sights of this beautiful earthquake damaged city.

Christchurch City		 Day 2   At Christchurch 
English Culture & Volcano Zone  We explore and learn about the earthquake damage English style city of Christchurch,  its parks,  Victorian architecture, shops.  Next we view the nearby beaches and , settlements and the large dominating volcano finding out about them.

Alpine Trails Zone		 Day 3  Christchurch - Greymouth (5.5hrs)
Alpine Trails Zone  The large farming plains link us to the trail through the awesome snow capped Southern Alps and the history packed wild West Coast.

(Mining & Milling Zone)		 Day  4  Greymouth - Fox Glacier (4 hrs)   
 Mining & Milling Zone Travelling South along the West Coast ghost towns and broken lands greet us.  Little settlements here were once backed with settlers clambering for  irresistible wealth at any cost. We encounter nature's vicious retaliation and witness the power of unleashed wind, rain, rivers, ice and tectonics.

 		 Day 5  Fox Glacier - Queenstown  (5 hrs) 
Glacier & Scenic ZoneThis morning we continue on the world's most spectacular tourist route surrounded by untouched Podocarp giants rising high above ancient rain forests thriving in World's wettest area. Towering mountains hide glaciers, water falls, lakes and swamps.    By late afternoon we have navigated the Southern Alps and  incredibly encounter parched desert lands.

Adventure & Desert  Zone  We njoy some leisure and exciting activities amidst the amazing beauty of New Zealand's premier holiday destination.

 Alpine Grandeur Zone  We journey past historic mining settlements, over the high alpine tussock lands and dry tundra to Mt Cook NP. Mammoth tectonic uplifting, breathtaking alps,  cascading avalanches devastating glaciers and iceberg lakes are all to be found here. Mid afternoon tales us on to our farewell evening.

Local Culture Zone		 Day 8   Timaru - Christchurch - Home (3 hrs +) 
Local Culture Zone.  Activities today are arranged to meet on flight departure times that may enable us to include harbour visit and lava beach walk plus some free time for last minute shopping.   After our fond farewells tit's time to sit back enjoy the memories with the hospitality of the airlines.
